I was making and creating my own designs so I decided I would get out of the depressing job (working with the elderly)and try and use my creativity. I did a full time 2 year course as a mature student and qualified as a Fashion designer in 1987, made some good friends along the way - heres the posse Paula 'Artist extrodinaire' Brett, pink hiared Joanne (rubber wear model) Yeomans, Jayne Mechan, Mandy Meadon, Liz Taylor, Viv, Michelle etc (sorry names have gone)

My Final end of year Collection featured below on the stage at Ordsall Hall featuring me with white puffball skirt (yea I know !!)
My dissertation (above) was entitled 'Is Leather a cult object' this was met by a curious reaction, none the less I got good marks. I did my research well, corresponded with Skin Two magazine editor and went to visit a leather making factory. I was tempted to take up the invite to the leather ball but couldn't find a companion brave enough! My final collection was called ' The Restless Sex Collection' based on snakes, and leather and Sex Goddess from the past. We received rave reviews in a Manchester paper and the show was filmed at 'Ordsall Hall' now famous for 'Most Haunted 'TV programme.

These were my two best buddies from College (Paula & Joanne)- I taught Paula all she knew LOL (you know what I mean Brettski)
We had some great nights down the local clubs but also in Manchester, where Paula eventually met her hubby on a visit from Scotland. Paula is married & now has 2 Children as does Joanne.
