SOULKISS

               THE INFAMOUS 'SMITHS'

Here is the one and only family snapshot that exists !Taken at the farmhouse in Newton le Willows 1970 , Mum, Dad Brother Ian and Belinda sister.

Note: Moody faced me getting a clip round the ear for not posing for the camera, a girl had to get some attention but at least I got to stand at the front.

God what an awful dress they made me wear, what were they thinking ?? Dad was a former Sergeant Major and farmer and Mum a Personal Assistant. This was taken at Ian's christening party. He's now 39 that makes me feel old. My Sister is 40. They both have children of there own, James, Joe and Ruby.

                                         FARMER TED

Dad lost his long battle with illness at the age of 80 on July 17th 1999, this was my

tribute at his funeral

To Dad

Jan 7th 1919 - July 1999

Through the years you have fought some battles which lesser Men would have lost, you conquered everything which crossed your path, refusing to give up with sheer determination and willpower.

Against all odds you managed to retain your unique character. People comment 'what a tough, strong man you were and your quirky sense of humour, often eccentric personality is legendary.

Isn't it amazing that you have managed to touch so many peoples lives and leave such a lasting impression.

Although you may be gone from this world you will not be forgotten, everyone will always remember you as 'Farmer Ted'.

I am sure you will be looking down today and feeling proud of your popularity.

You were a Star,  a Newton Legend !!

Sleep well.

Love from your children

Melanie, Belinda and Ian

WE MOVE ON....

The family has developed and created some new additions - Belinda married Mark Quinne and has 2 Children, Ruby & Joe. The family today - minus Ruby who came along a little later

Ian has one son with Angela called James 'Jimmy' and last but definitely not least - the family pets, wouldn't be the same without them.

Hmmmm well we would have less cat mess Mum would stop shouting "Where's the cat, I can't find him".

My Cat's

My Persian cat 'Tabby'

In Memory of 'Abby' pictured with best mate 'Tabby'(far right) the most affectionate cat EVER !! R.I.P

We now have two new additions to the family - two Bengal cats with Italian names Bella & Rocco. They are the naughtiest cats you could imagine but as they look so cute most of the time it's not hard to forgive them.
